Today's entry goes out specially for my mother.
Dear Mum,
Thanks for all that you've done for me.
Ever since I was enlisted this year,
You never fail to be there; mentally and physically.
I'll always remember the times you eased my burden.
For washing and ironing my clothes,
Cooking my favourite dishes each time I come home.
Thanks for motivating me throughout my NS basic training life.
You were my strength, my motivation and my cure.
Whenever I felt like giving up, the thought of you makes me stronger.
You never fail to shower care, concern and love towards me.
Eventhough you have other children to attend to,
You somehow always have time for me.
Thanks for raising me up the right way,
For teaching me the values of life,
For bringing me closer to God,
For sharing me the experiences may it be good or bad.
I know I might have disappointed you in some ways,
But still, you never gave up on me, even when the world does.
Rest assured, someday I will grow to be the man,
That you'll be proud of.
There could be no other; only you.
You're something that money can't buy.
I've never met someone who's so warm-hearted,
Who's caring, loving, & as nice as you.
I'll always remember you,
& I will tell my children, and my grandchildren,
and the next generation about you,
as long as I'm still alive.
